Frequently Asked Questions
Q1:What is injection molding?
Injection molding is an extremely versatile and popular form of molding. Other processes include extrusion, thermoforming, compression, and blow molding.
In injection molding, plastic granules are heated and injected under pressure into metal molds, where the molten plastic hardens into the designated shape. The mold then opens and the formed part is removed and inspected. The part is then ready for shipment or for secondary manufacturing operations, such as screening.
Q2:What is the data required for quoting an injection mold?
We do our best to cap ture the information needed to provide an accurate quote. Please provide the following information, if known:Part weight, Type of plastic, Overall part/mold dimensions, Quantity, Color
Q3:How long do you need for quotation?
It depends on the mould quantity & complexity. Usually we can complete the quotation within 2 working days once we get sufficient information from customer.
Q4:How do you pack the plastic moulds?
We pack the plastic moulds with wooden box. There are the main 3 operation steps.
First step: We daub some rust preventive oil on the mold.
Second step: We pack the mold wirh thin plastic film to avoid moisture.
Third step: We put this plastic film packed mold in a woodenbox, and fix it avoid any movement.
Q5:What kinds of drawings can you receive?
We can readily receive small and large CAD files in a variety of formats like.
2D: dwg, dxf, edrw, pdf, etc.
3D: step, igs,xt prt Sldprt STL, etc.
Q6:What does your company mainly do? What products do you supply?
Our company mainly specializes in commodity molds: injection molds, die-casting molds, die stamping etc., with 16 years of experience in this field. We also provide plastic and metal products. Injection molds include double-color(2K) molds, stack molds, in-mold decoration molds (IMD), Gas-assistant molds, rapid cool and heat molds(RCHM), High Glass molds, etc.
Q7:How long does it take to customize a mold?
It depends on the product, the design usually takes 1-3 weeks, and processing takes 5-11 weeks. The trial and modification period is uncertain.
Q8:Can the mold be provided for free if we manufacture the product with you?
If injection molding products are produced together with us, we need to evaluate based on the quantity and price of the products. We may consider only charging the molding cost or not charging for the mold.
Q9:What about after-sales service? What is the warranty period?

After trial molding, samples will be sent to the customer free of charge up to three times for small batches of 50-100 pieces. We can provide free mold maintenance within one year, with subsequent maintenance incurring charges.
